NASA-SOLE-AAS Space Logistics Workshop, 2-5 April 2007

"The Future of Space Logistics and Operations: Preparing for the Next Decades."

This workshop intends to assess and address a number of key issues that face the logistics and operations communities at NASA, the Department of Defense, industry and academia as they identify and implement initiatives and supporting strategies for the development of the National Space Policy and the Vision for Space Exploration into coherent and cooperative programs.

The by-invitation workshop - organized by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and co-hosted by SOLE - The International Society of Logistics (SOLE) and the American Astronautical Society (AAS) - will include representatives from government, industry, and academia specifically invited for their ability to identify and document operational capabilities and what they believe must be done to achieve those capabilities and potentially strategic milestones. The forum will be held on 2-5 April 2007 at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA, and will include keynote speakers, plenary sessions, panel discussions and work sessions in such topics as:
